Does art imitate life, or is art imitating life?
That was the question on our minds when faced with how to announce the much anticipated return of potatoes to Taco Bell’s menu.
What started as using the potato filter to annoy colleagues on video chats led to an idea:
What if we didn’t announce the return of potatoes….
…but a potato did.
In a creative career Halley's Comet, Taco Bell’s CEO agreed to deliver his formal PR announcement about the potatoes—as a potato.
And people loved the spud.
Lesson learned: always bring yourself to the creative, always annoy colleagues.
