Now:
I’ve officially taken the plunge into the freelance pool. If your water’s fine, I’ll spike it with a packet of Kool-Aid and get the party started (like a really responsible, successful, results-driven party).
Almost now:
Because not unlike Chappell Roan, Santa Monica was calling me. I came back to LA to join Mother, working on big launches for Meta, Buick, SONIC, and whatever else came across my proverbial desk (bonafide kitchen-sitter, here). Was it LA I missed…or just the fresh-baked cookies at Lime?
Not too long ago:
Spent three years in Portland livin’ life on East Coast hours with the wonderful folks at Arts & Letters in RVA. A beautiful reminder that ads transcend time[zones] and space, not unlike love.
Time sorta didn’t exist here:
With Deutsch LA in 2020 where we turned Taco Bell’s CEO into a potato and did mukbangs with bearded dragons. How was your year?
Are we there yet:
“Oh no, now I’m a writer and have to write things?!” Luckily, starting your official creative career in cheese is about as good as it gets.
Getting there:
Enticed by their snack selection, I joined 72andSunny as an account person, working on Google and Activision. I thought the writers were funny and smart and thought, “Hey I want to be funny and smart.” So I went to portfolio school and badgered my superiors until they let me write.
Then:
Driven by a refusal to grow up, I began my career in marketing for Disney Princess toys at Jakks Pacific. I was there when Frozen came out, which people in the biz referred to as “a Halley's Comet of the toy world.” So yes, I’ve seen Halley’s Comet.
Somewhere in between:
After 18 years of Damp Jeans™, I attended USC in Los Angeles where I studied International Relations and Global Business with a minor in Intercultural Breakfast Burritos.
Way back:
I hail from the Pacific Northwest, specifically a northeastern suburb of Seattle called Woodinville where I spent my formative years chasing quails with my friends.
