Since I was very young, I’ve been convinced I’d make a better dog.
Dogs have fun with it.
Dogs find simple solutions to complex problems. Crippled by excessive toy choice? Opt for a shoe.
Dogs are dependable, eager, and generally enjoyable to be around.
This philosophy colors my writing and professional conduct at large.
I serve up 1 part insight, 1 part intuition, 1/2 part logic, and 3-5 dashes absurdity. Shaken not stirred, garnished with a twist of sarcasm.
Now:
Currently a west coast gal in LA livin’ life on east coast hours with Arts & Letters of RVA. A beautiful reminder that ads transcend time[zones] and space, not unlike love.
Almost Now:
With Deutsch LA in 2020 where we turned Taco Bell’s CEO into a potato and did mukbangs with bearded dragons. How was your year?
Are we there yet:
“Oh no, now I’m a writer and have to write things?!” Luckily, starting your official creative career in cheese is about as good as it gets.
Getting there:
Enticed by their snack selection, I joined 72andSunny as an account person, working on Google and Activision. I thought the writers were funny and smart and thought, “Hey I want to be funny and smart.” So I went to portfolio school and badgered my superiors until they let me write.
Then:
Driven by a refusal to grow up, I began my career in marketing for Disney Princess toys. I was there when Frozen came out, which people in the biz referred to as “a Halley's Comet of the toy world.” So, I’ve seen Halley’s Comet.
Somewhere in between:
After 18 years of Damp Jeans™, I attended USC in Los Angeles where I studied International Relations and Global Business with a minor in Intercultural Breakfast Burritos. Huckleberry Cafe forever has my heart.
Way back:
I hail from the Pacific Northwest, specifically a northeastern suburb of Seattle called Woodinville where I spent my formative years chasing quails with my friends.
